We are proud to be involved in various events and initiatives that support and uplift our community. Some of the events we organize and participate in include:
Toy Drive - During our December recital, we come together to benefit Toys for Tots. This heartwarming event allows us to spread joy and cheer during the holiday season by providing toys to children in need.
Traveling Performances - Twice a year, our talented dancers showcase their skills and passion for dance by performing at local retirement homes in Clatsop County. These performances bring smiles and happiness to the residents and foster intergenerational connections.
Food Drive - Our cartwheel clinic is not just about perfecting gymnastics skills; it also serves a greater purpose. We host a food drive during this clinic to support the Clatsop County Food Bank, helping to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.
We deeply value the sense of community and responsibility that these events bring to our dance family. It is through the collective efforts of our students, parents, and staff that we are able to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Small Beginnings
We are delighted to share the heartwarming story of Encore Dance Studio, a place where the magic of dance began as a happy accident in 1996. It all started when our founder, Denele Sweet, was asked to teach three little girls how to tap dance. With passion and determination, she laid down a sheet of plywood in a humble garage, and the journey of Encore Dance Studio began.
As the news spread, more and more local kids were drawn to the joy and excitement of dancing with Denele. What started as a small, impromptu gathering soon blossomed into a thriving dance community. The demand for dance classes grew, and over the past 27 years, Encore Dance Studio has flourished into five vibrant dance studios.
Our studio has become a home-away-from-home for countless kids who have stepped through our doors. We take immense pride in creating an environment where young dancers feel welcomed, inspired, and supported in their dance journey. At Encore, we strive to instill not only a love for dance but also a sense of camaraderie and self-expression that extends beyond the studio walls.
Our dedication to dance and teaching reflects in the passion and talent of our students. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them and the growth they have achieved over the years. Our students' smiles and passion for dance are the true testament to the love we share for what we do here at Encore Dance Studio.
